Exciting News! House of Balsa, Zap Glue, Savox Servos & More!

We are proud to announce that Mike Goes Flying is officially an HRP Dealer!

HRP is based out of Salt Lake City, Utah, and has been on the RC scene since 1987. There are some great products we've brought in from them like Zap Glue, some House of Balsa Cutoff Wheels, Aluminum Servo Arms, and even a couple RTF Airplanes. One of the biggest things this means for you, our dedicated Mike Goes Flying Customer, is Savox Servos!

Savox has been around for some time, but many aircraft modelers have not heard of them. That’s because Savox has been focusing on Competition Helicopter and RC Car applications for most of their servos. Many championship caliber stick-stirrers and wheel-turners use these servos and have found tremendous success with them. Over the years, these servos have proven to be of the highest quality with superior cycle-life and reliability. Now Savox has started expanding their offerings to include more Airplane applications and we're so happy to be able to show you what these servos can do!

We are doing this, in part, by using them ourselves. I have a 20 size VQ Models P-39 ARF that I'll be putting together soon and I’ll be using high-performance Savox Micro Servos listed on our website to get the job done. Although designed to be electric, my dad and I will be making some changes to the fuselage to use a Magnum .15 Glow Engine. I’ve had this ARF in the box for a while now so I’m very excited to get it together and start flying.

We will be writing more posts about the build in a new build blog on this site, how we changed it from Electric to Glow, and how the Savox Servos perform, so stay tuned to find out how it goes!
